Welcome to my weekly blog about this week’s Talking Points meetings.

We have two subjects this week the first is:

Business expenses for the self-employed.

This meeting concentrates on two common areas: motoring expenses, and the use of home as a workplace. You can also find out about simplified expenses plus how using them can save time. We will also cover the importance of record keeping.‎

As this is a popular subject, we are running this Talking Points meeting on two separate days.

Monday 8 January - 12:30pm – 13:30pm        Register now

Tuesday 9 January - 12:30pm – 13:30pm        Register now

We also have

Capital Allowances and Vehicles.

Did you know you might be able to claim capital allowances on items you use in your business?

In most cases, you can deduct the full cost of these items from your profits before tax using the, Annual Investment Allowance.

Due to the popularity of this subject we are running two meetings, both of which cover:

  • how to claim tax relief for vehicles including the special rules for cars
  • how to claim for other items that you keep to use in your business.

Friday 12 January - 11am to midday                      Register now

Friday 12 January - 1pm to 2pm                             Register now
