One year on

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: General, News and Updates

Just over a year ago I joined HMRC as Head of Digital Agent Engagement, having spent the previous 20 years in the DWP. Part of my new role was to look at ways to digitally engage with agents, and the success the Working Together and Talking Points forums are having would suggest we are moving in the right direction, but there is more to do.

I always try and blog about items that I think would be of interest to you, but if there are any particular areas you would like me to consider covering then please leave a comment on this blog.

In the past year I have told you about changes to HMRC's Online SA documents for loans, changes to Time to Pay arrangements and Agent Toolkits. But the most popular topic has been my updates on the development of Agent Online Self Serve (AOSS) and so I intend to continue using the blog to regularly update you about developments in this area.

Over the coming months I will tell you about initiatives we have to "Make Tax Digital", so please keep an eye out for future blogs. Better still why not sign up for automatic email updates and be one of the first to know what's going on?

May I take this opportunity to wish you a very merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year?
