It has been a while since my last post and I'd like to thank you all for your patience during the election campaign. I'm keen to carry on where we left off, in using this blog to open up communications between ourselves, so please do leave us your comments.
I recently attended the Accountex Event at Excel in London and during the two days, over 700 agents stopped to speak to us at the HMRC stand. Colleagues from Personal Tax showcased how they are moving their digital strategy forward, and others demonstrated the Agent Online Self Serve (AOSS) prototype. We also signed up a large number of agents to the Agent Account Managers Service, giving registered agents access to our Issues Resolution team, who can help you resolve your clients' on-going problems faster. Why not register today? A number of agents signed up to receive email notifications of HMRC news and Agent Update- so why not sign up for these too?
A lot has happened in the six months since I became Head of Digital Agent Engagement - and I'll continue to keep you posted about the outcomes of the regional workshops and webinars, as well as giving you information about the services and products we have for agents. I'll continue to keep AOSS high on the agenda as it moves through its testing stages. From your comments, I know you're keen to hear about how we're working together to develop it- and over the summer we'll be looking for more agent volunteers as we continue to 'build and test' the service. We'll bring you more information in this blog and in Agent Update.
I will shortly reply directly to the comments that have been posted about my previous blogs, so please check your emails regularly.
